La incorporaci\u00f3n de megaenfardadoras en el mercado argentino abri\u00f3 las puertas a un nicho de exportaci\u00f3n de material forrajero.<\/p>\n

Argentina ha llegado a exportar unas 25.000 toneladas de heno de alfalfa anuales en las \u00faltimas temporadas, entrando de manera incipiente en un negocio que est\u00e1 concentrado.<\/p>\n

Mart\u00edn Giletta, del \u00c1rea de Econom\u00eda del INTA Manfredi, indica que el mercado internacional de heno de alfalfa moviliza unos 8 millones de toneladas\/a\u00f1o y muestra una alta concentraci\u00f3n, tanto desde la perspectiva de la oferta como de la demanda.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, Estados Unidos (58%), Australia (15%), y Espa\u00f1a (9%), explican en conjunto m\u00e1s del 80% de las exportaciones globales, mientras que igual incidencia en las importaciones se concentran en Jap\u00f3n (32%), China (23%), Emiratos \u00c1rabes (15%) y Corea (14%).<\/p>\n

Estas caracter\u00edsticas confieren alto poder de negociaci\u00f3n a la demanda, en tanto que para la oferta los vol\u00famenes ofrecidos son gravitantes, tanto en precios como en accesos a mercados, siempre bajo par\u00e1metros m\u00ednimos de calidad exigibles.<\/p>\n

Evoluci\u00f3n<\/strong>
\nHace 10 a\u00f1os, se instalaron en Argentina empresas exportadoras de heno de alfalfa, demostrando que existen zonas muy aptas para la producci\u00f3n de heno de alta calidad.<\/p>\n

Iniciaron la comercializaci\u00f3n de fibra proteica hacia el exterior y tambi\u00e9n dentro del pa\u00eds, porque los megafardos generados en la zona centro y noroeste se empezaron a destinar a regiones h\u00famedas de Buenos Aires o de Santa Fe.<\/p>\n

El megafardo tiene una densidad 40% superior respecto al material convencional y, de esa manera, el flete se hace m\u00e1s eficiente, ya que en un mismo contenedor se pueden transportar hasta 28 toneladas contra 20 toneladas de megafardos convencionales.<\/p>\n

Aunque Argentina es un actor relativamente nuevo y todav\u00eda marginal en el mercado internacional de heno, registra un comportamiento muy din\u00e1mico, expandiendo las exportaciones en pocos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
