La producci\u00f3n forrajera acerca oportunidades al mundo y tambi\u00e9n al mercado interno argentino. El ingeniero Agr\u00f3nomo Gast\u00f3n Urrets Zaval\u00eda, <\/strong>Gerente del Cl\u00faster de Alfalfa de C\u00f3rdoba y referente en henificaci\u00f3n del INTA Manfredi destac\u00f3 que \u201cla demanda mundial de heno<\/strong>, que en 2003 era de 3,64 millones de toneladas y en los primeros a\u00f1os de esta d\u00e9cada lleg\u00f3 a 9,84 millones y crece sin l\u00edmite a la vista\u201d,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apunt\u00f3: \u201csi en volumen aument\u00f3 un 170 %<\/strong>, el valor del negocio aument\u00f3 <\/strong>en el mismo per\u00edodo un 275%<\/strong>. Es decir que el producto cada vez vale m\u00e1s, y algo a considerar es que hablamos del mercado mundial de heno en general<\/strong> del cual el heno de alfalfa <\/strong>es el 60 al 65 %\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ya no hay agua para regar<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para ilustrar mejor la problem\u00e1tica de la demanda de heno, dijo que en Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos y en Arabia Saudita<\/strong> desde el 2015 se prohibi\u00f3 el riego en superficies para forrajes de m\u00e1s de 3 hect\u00e1reas y denominaron como f\u00f3sil al agua apta para regad\u00edo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pero debido a los riesgos del mundo, como por ejemplo las guerras, los pa\u00edses procuran su autonom\u00eda alimentaria, y producir su propia leche y carne, y para ello precisan el heno. As\u00ed es que,\u00a0en Traslasierra (C\u00f3rdoba) una empresa \u00e1rabe produce heno en m\u00e1s de 3.000 ha\u00a0<\/strong>y se lo lleva a su pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEs decir\u00a0hay oportunidades de negocio, lo hacemos nosotros o vienen de afuera y lo hacen otros\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Evoluci\u00f3n del mercado mundial de heno, el 60 a 65 % es de heno de alfalfa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ese proceso est\u00e1 en relaci\u00f3n con la intensificaci\u00f3n ganadera<\/strong> que lleva a tambos cada vez con mayor cantidad de vacas en orde\u00f1e, m\u00e1s tecnificados<\/strong>, especializados. En Argentina hoy en promedio son 178 vacas por tambo en orde\u00f1e, cuando hace unos 15 a\u00f1os ese n\u00famero era de solo de 75 vacas, y esa diferencia hace a la especializaci\u00f3n en la producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urrets Zaval\u00eda indic\u00f3 que \u201cel rodeo nacional sigue siendo el mismo,<\/strong>\u00a0tampoco es que ha evolucionado mucho, pero va quedando en menos manos, y los tambos son cada vez m\u00e1s grandes, m\u00e1s intensificados y en menos superficie, es decir, con\u00a0m\u00e1s vacas por hect\u00e1rea<\/strong>. Eso hace que el sistema de alimentaci\u00f3n de los animales sea distinto, m\u00e1s suplementado, entregando en el comedero al animal cada vez m\u00e1s proporci\u00f3n de su alimento balanceado y con menos pastoreo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China, un fuerte jugador<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otro dato para ilustrar este proceso de intensificaci\u00f3n es lo ocurrido en China, que en 2002 <\/strong>ten\u00eda menos de 500 tambos<\/strong> con m\u00e1s de 500 vacas en orde\u00f1e,<\/strong> pero en el 2014 <\/strong>ya ten\u00eda m\u00e1s de 3.500 tambos con m\u00e1s de 500 vacas en orde\u00f1e,<\/strong> estas cantidades m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las fechas, muestran una clara tendencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed China<\/strong>, en pocos a\u00f1os, se transform\u00f3 en un fuerte importador de heno<\/strong>, el segundo en el mundo, debido a su intensificaci\u00f3n ganadera lo cual implic\u00f3 un incremento de su mercado del heno<\/strong>. Cuando empezaron a aparecer tambos intensificados en cantidad, en la misma medida copiaron la curva de demanda en heno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed se entiende como China en muy pocos a\u00f1os pas\u00f3 de no figurar en el mercado mundial del heno en el 2001, a importar en el\u00a02022, 1.940.000 tn de heno de alfalfa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De los\u00a09 millones y medio de toneladas que es el mercado mundial, casi 2 son de China<\/strong>. Y ello es debido a que algunos chinos llegaron a poder tomar un poco de leche y de comer carne. El futuro es promisorio para los productores de forraje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La superficie dedicada a silaje es cada vez m\u00e1s, y entonces la producci\u00f3n de heno, la de silaje y la de forraje en general,\u00a0compiten con la agricultura<\/strong>. Ello impone ser cada vez m\u00e1s eficientes en la producci\u00f3n de heno de calidad, evitando, por ejemplo, las detenciones por la presencia de roc\u00edo. Es necesario cambiar y mejorar los procesos productivos\u00bb, dijo Urrets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abEntonces, vemos que las oportunidades de negocio<\/strong> se dan junto con un proceso de especializaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, o sea si me especializo en tambo, le compro el heno a un especialista en hacer heno<\/strong>. O bien, si hago el heno en el tambo, tengo en mente que es una unidad de negocio espec\u00edfica\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abEllo se debe a que la hect\u00e1rea de alfalfa esta al lado de la de ma\u00edz, y de otra de soja, y tiene que dar, al menos, el mismo resultado econ\u00f3mico. Dicho sea de paso, este a\u00f1o fue m\u00e1s rentable la alfalfa para heno que para otras unidades de negocio\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desaf\u00edos<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mejora de procesos<\/strong> implica, identificar puntos cr\u00edticos, medir, saber que se debe medir, y hacerlo. En este tramo, el especialista se refiri\u00f3 al corte, rastrillado <\/strong>(oreado) y confecci\u00f3n<\/strong> (recolecci\u00f3n), sugiriendo en cada uno de estas operaciones las mejoras que se lograron en la Argentina y las pendientes a cambiar en el corto plazo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEn el\u00a0Cl\u00faster de alfalfa<\/strong>, ponemos foco en los distintos procesos, el proceso agron\u00f3mico, el de henificaci\u00f3n, otro proceso es el de industrializaci\u00f3n, porque puedo llevar a compactado a pellets o a cubos, y un proceso comercial. En cada uno de esos procesos identificar los puntos cr\u00edticos y hacer una mejora de procesos\u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El rollo, una prote\u00edna \u2018envasada\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEn el proceso agron\u00f3mico vemos si est\u00e1 rindiendo 2.700 kg de prote\u00edna bruta por hect\u00e1rea,<\/strong> (ojo con el momento y el sistema de corte) de la misma manera que miden los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s competitivos en Europa. En un rollo, estamos viendo un envase. Como si fuera un sachet de leche<\/strong>, que miro y pienso cu\u00e1nta prote\u00edna le estoy dando a mi hijo<\/strong>. Para lo cual es necesario partir de un cultivo que tenga un alto nivel de prote\u00edna y energ\u00eda en mega calor\u00edas que se convertir\u00e1n en carne y leche\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otro desaf\u00edo, para Urrets Zavalia, es la calidad<\/strong>, y para resolver este punto propuso que \u201casimilemos los est\u00e1ndares del mundo,<\/strong> como los de Espa\u00f1a o Estados Unidos\u201d. En el cuadro Calidad de heno<\/strong>, se pueden ver como se clasifican distintas categor\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Argentina export\u00f3 en un a\u00f1o r\u00e9cord, 100.000 tn de heno de calidad de exportaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, pero un solo cliente pidi\u00f3 70.000 tn<\/strong>. con un m\u00ednimo de 17% de prote\u00edna<\/strong>, de primera calidad y con un porcentaje de fibra y de humedad especificados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por lo tanto, Urrets Zavalia remarc\u00f3 la necesidad de \u201chacer heno de alta calidad\u201d, algo que \u201clleva tanta dedicaci\u00f3n como para lograr silaje de alta calidad y es lo que pide el mundo y lo pide en grandes cantidades\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
