El investigador Marcelo Beltr\u00e1n destac\u00f3 que \u201cel cultivo de cobertura genera un plus por la fijaci\u00f3n de carbono\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabe destacar que, adem\u00e1s de proteger el suelo de la erosi\u00f3n y ayudar a filtrar agua y capturar nutrientes, reducen el riesgo de anegamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En un podcast publicado en el portal Intainforma se abord\u00f3 la posibilidad (alta) de ocurrencia del fen\u00f3meno clim\u00e1tico El Ni\u00f1o, con estimaciones de precipitaciones por encima de lo normal para algunas regiones, desde Inta se destacan los beneficios de los cultivos de servicio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al estar cubiertos, los suelos desarrollan una estructura porosa capaz de infiltrar agua y capturar nutrientes al tiempo que evitan la exposici\u00f3n directa al impacto de las lluvias. As\u00ed se reduce el riesgo de anegamiento y la erosi\u00f3n h\u00eddrica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/www.todoalfalfa.com.ar\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Marcelo-Beltran-cobertura-suelos.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcelo Beltr\u00e1n, investigador del Instituto de Suelos del Inta, explic\u00f3 que \u201cen a\u00f1os Ni\u00f1o, donde las precipitaciones son normales o superiores a lo normal, hay efectos obviamente ben\u00e9ficos por el aporte de agua para los cultivos, pasturas, hay incremento de rendimiento, beneficios econ\u00f3micos y en algunos casos, por excesos de agua, puede llegar a haber alguna complicaci\u00f3n por algunas cuestiones de erosi\u00f3n h\u00eddrica\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por lo tanto, \u201ces deseable, en algunos casos particulares, usar cultivos de cobertura, que lo que hacen es proteger el suelo, aprovechar esa agua en exceso, transformarla en carbono, en biomasa y de esa forma, por un lado, fijan carbono, generando una estrategia de mitigaci\u00f3n del cambio clim\u00e1tico, por el otro, protegen el suelo, cubri\u00e9ndolo del da\u00f1o que pueda generar el impacto de la gota de lluvia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para concluir, manifest\u00f3 que \u201cen a\u00f1os ben\u00e9ficos y positivos para la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, el cultivo de cobertura es una herramienta \u00fatil para darle un plus de beneficios por la fijaci\u00f3n de carbono y por otro lado, la de protecci\u00f3n del suelo.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"todoalfalfa-final-de-la-nota\" id=\"todoalfalfa-3198383600\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/channel\/0029VbCBmFB9WtBxJsD3eC2i\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"5\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.todoalfalfa.com.ar\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/5.gif?fit=728%2C90&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"  width=\"728\" height=\"90\"   \/><\/a><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El investigador del INTA, Marcelo Beltran, asegur\u00f3 en que \u201cel cultivo de cobertura genera un plus por la fijaci\u00f3n de carbono\u201d.
